Albert II is the youn ger son of King Leopold III and Queen Astrid Swedish. Comes from the dynasty Koburgów derived from the Ernestine line of Wettin. In the years 1934-1993 was titled Prince of Liège. He was educated at schools in Germany, where for part of World War II internment royal family. After the war he continued his education in Geneva.
